Leader Issues Condolence Message on Passing of Senior Shia Scholar
TEHRAN (IQNA) – Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei in a message expressed condolences on the passing away of Ayatollah Taqi Tabatabaei Qomi.
In the message, the Leader condoled the respected family of the scholar as well as those acquainted with him and the seminary scholars in the holy cities of Qom, Najaf and Mashhad.
Ayatollah Khamenei also prayed that God bless the late
scholar’s soul and elevate his ranks to the highest.
Ayatollah Taqi Tabatabaei Qomi was a Shia source of
emulation in Najaf, Iraq.
He died in Karbala last week and was laid to rest in Najaf on Friday.
Seminary scholars and students, representatives of the
sources of emulation and a large number of people attended his funeral.
