PBC Plans 20 Sautul Quran Channels in Pakistan

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation Director General Khurshid Ahmad Malik revealed on Thursday the Corporation is going to set up 20 Sautul Quran channels in various cities of Pakistan.

 

"These channels will start functioning in Multan, DI Khan and Bahawalpur soon,” he added while talking to the media.

He said that he had passed direction to the heads of PBC units to engage the literary personalities, intellectuals and scholars for various programs to improve the content. He disclosed that the Radio Pakistan organized transmission of 1120 hours daily from its 72 broadcast channels.

He further disclosed that the contract staff of PBC would be given priority while filling seats on permanent basis. He said that efforts were being made to generate revenue for the PBC.
