TEHRAN (IQNA) – The 23rd international conference of the International Islamic Fiqh (Jurisprudence) Academy, began in the holy city of Medina, Saudi Arabia, on Sunday.

Scholars, thinkers and Islamic jurists from 46 countries are taking part in the conference, organized in cooperation with the Islamic University of Medina.
Hatam bin Hassan Marzouqi, the university’s chancellor, said a number of issues related to marriage, fasting, banking, and practical and theoretical measures to confront extremism will be discussed at the five-day forum.
He added that more than 50 papers will be presented at the scholarly event.
