Quran Memorization Workshop Underway in Mauritania
The country’s National Committee of Education, Culture and Science has organized three-day educational program since April 9, Al-Akhbar news website reported.
The Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) has also cooperated in holding the workshop.
It has been attended by Quran activists and scholars from Mauritania, Senegal, Mali, Gambia and Guinea.
The participants investigate methods of promoting the educational and social role of Quran memorizers and getting them more involved in the development of Quranic activities.
Application of modern technology in teaching of Quranic sciences, Quran memorization and Quranic concepts and boosting interactions of the experts in these fields are among the themes of the workshop.
