Int’l Quran Contests Participants to Meet with Leader of Islamic Revolution

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Participants in five international Quran competitions underway in Iran will meet with Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei on Monday.

Officials organizing the competitions and Iranian Quran masters, activists, memorizers, reciters and managers will also be present at the meeting.

Iran’s Quran TV will broadcast the meeting’s events live.

After recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by a number of Qaris, the head of Iran’s Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization will give a report on holding the competitions and then the Leader will address the gathering

The Islamic Republic of Iran’s 36^th International Quran Competition, along with four other international Quran contests- those for women, the visually-impaired, seminary students and school students- began in Iran on Wednesday.

The closing ceremony of the contests, where winners of different categories will be announced and awarded, will be held on Sunday evening.
