TEHRAN (IQNA) – The final stage of the 37th edition of the Quran, Etrat and Prayers Competition for Iran’s school students in the boys’ section kicked off in the northern city of Zanjan on Saturday night.

A total of 495 students are competing in different categories in the final round.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mohammad Reza Mosayyebzadeh, director general of the Education Ministry’s Quran, Etrat and Prayers Department, said the contest aims to promote Quranic activities among school students.
He added that some 7.5 million students have taken part in different stages of the competition.
The competition in the girls’ section will be held in Zanjan from Thursday to Sunday, July 21.
