Quranic Program Held at Hazrat Abbas (AS) Holy Shrine
TEHRAN (IQNA) – A Quran recitation program was held at the holy shrine of Hazrat Abbas (AS) in Karbala, Iraq, on Tuesday night.
A number of top Qaris of the Astan (custodianship) of the shrine recited verses from the Hoy Quran at the program, an official of the Astan said, al-Kafeel website reported.
They included Ammar al-Hilli, Faisal al-Matar and Muhammad Riza Salman, said Aqeel Abdul Hussein al-Yaseri, deputy of the Astan’s cultural affairs
He added that the event was aimed at promoting the Quranic culture.
It was held as part of the 6th Imam Baqer (AS) Festival, he noted.
Al-Yaseri expressed hope that more prominent Iraqi and foreign Qaris will attend such programs in the future.
