Seyed Abbas Razavi, an official with the TV channel, said those willing to participate at the competition should send a file of their Quran recitation via the website of the TV channel.
The Quran competition titled "Inna lil-Muttaqina Mafaza” (Indeed, for the righteous is attainment- Holy Quran, 78:31) is held in the holy month of Ramadan every year.
A group of internationally known Quran competition referees from different Islamic countries will supervise the competition, the preliminary stage of which will be held before the holy month.
Inna lil-Muttaqina Mafaza is the Muslim world’s biggest live Quran recitation competition aired by Al-Kawthar, an Arabic-language channel within the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting’s World Service.
Qaris from Iran, Egypt, Afghanistan, Lebanon and Iraq were the winners of the previous edition of the competition.
