TEHRAN (IQNA) – Iraq’s Kata’ib Hezbollah (Hezbollah Brigades) said the country’s resistance forces are ready to counter any health or military threat.

Speaking in a televised program on Tuesday, Kata’ib Hezbollah spokesman Muhammad Muhebbi said the forces of the brigades are actively present on the scene to confront threats.

He further warned the US not to test the patience of the resistance forces.

He said the resistance forces are well aware of the moves planned by the US against Iraqi security forces and Popular Mobilization Units (PMU).

Muhebbi underlined that the US forces must respect the will of the Iraqi people who want them out of their country.

Iraqi lawmakers unanimously approved a bill on January 5, demanding the withdrawal of all foreign military forces led by the United States from the country following the assassination of Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani, the commander of the Quds Force of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps, along with the deputy head of the PMU, Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, and their companions in US airstrike authorized by President Donald Trump near Baghdad International Airport two days earlier.
