Senior Seminary Scholars Offer Condolences on Death of Assembly of Experts Member

TEHRAN (IQNA) – A number of senior scholars of Islamic seminaries issued messages of condolences over the death of Ayatollah Ebrahim Amini, a member of Iran’s Assembly of Experts.

 

Grand source of emulation Ayatollah Abdollah Javadi Amoli and Ayatollahs Ali Akbar Rashad, Mohammad Javad Fazel Lankarani and Mohammad Mohammadi Reyshahri, in their messages described Ayatollah Amini as a pious Faqih (jurisprudent), a revolutionary scholar, and an Alim Rabbani (a scholar on whom divine knowledge has been bestowed).

They expressed condolences to the cleric’s family and Iranian people and seminary scholars and prayed for his soul to rest in peace.

Ayatollah Amini, who represented the people of Tehran in the Assembly of Experts, died in the holy city of Qom on Friday.

He played major roles in the Islamic Revolution both before and after the victory of the revolution.
