Saudi-Led Coalition Claims Intercepted Yemeni Drones

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The Saudi-led coalition that has waged war on Yemen said on Saturday it intercepted and destroyed two explosive-laden drones launched towards Saudi Arabia by the Houthi Ansarullah movement.

There was no comment from the Houthi movement about the two incidents reported by the state-run Saudi Press Agency, which cited a coalition spokesman, Reuters reported.

Yemen has been the scene of the Saudi-led aggression since 2015.

Since then, over 100,000 people have been killed, according to the US-based Armed Conflict Location and Event Data Project (ACLED) and most Yemenis are on the brink of starvation due to the war and blockade of the impoverished country.
