In a post on his Twitter account with the hashtag #USDecline, he likened Trump to pharaoh, quoting verses 21-26 of the 79th Surah of the Quran:
“But he rejected (the truth) and disobeyed. Then he went back hastily. Then he gathered (men) and called out. Then he said: I am your lord, the most high. So Allah seized him with the punishment of the hereafter and the former life. Most surely there is in this a lesson to him who fears.”
Ghalibaf also posted footage of a speech by Secretary General of the Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah in which Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah predicts Trump’s defeat.
