Saudi Youth Desecrates Quran

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Desecration of a copy of the Quran by a Saudi youth has drawn widespread condemnations by social media users in the Arab country.

 

A clip showing the young man burn a copy of the Holy Book has been shared on social networks recently.

In this clip, the man, named Abdullah, sets fire to pages of a Quran, Al-Quds.co.uk reported.

Behind him a flag of Saudi Arabia is seen in the video, according to the report.

Activists have called for his arrest and trial for insulting Islam and the Holy Quran.

According to Saudi laws, anyone found guilty of desecrating Islamic sanctities is sentenced to a maximum of seven years in jail and fined up to 2 million Saudi riyals.
