Mujtaba Mirzayinasab, secretary of this edition of the festival, told IQNA that the festival was organized in 9 categories for two groups of male and female participants, under 18 and above 18 years of age.
More than 12,000 individuals registered to attend the festival, most of them aged under 18, he said.
Due to the coronavirus restrictions, the festival was held online.
About 1,500 Quran memorizers competed on memorization of 30 Juzes (parts) of the Quran on July 1 and 2, he noted.
Mirzayinasab added that the competition of memorizers of the entire Quran will be held this week.
The works sent for the festival in other categories have also been evaluated and the top ones have been selected.
Some 80 winners of different categories of the festival will compete in the final stage of the Quranic event on Eid Al-Ghadir.
