Iran Education Ministry to Hold Training Course for Judges of Quran Contests

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Iran’s Ministry of Education plans to hold the fourth edition of a training course aimed at enhancing the qualities of those willing to serve as arbiters in the Quran, Etrat and Prayer competition annually organized by the ministry.

 

Mohammad Reza Mosayyebzadeh, director general of the Education Ministry’s Quran, Etrat and Prayer Department, said registration for the course has stated and will continue for three weeks.

He said the course will be organized in two stages: preliminary and complementary, IRIB News reported.

Those who score the minimum required points in the first stage will qualify to take part in the second stage, he added.  

According to the official, it is aimed at improving the qualities of those willing to serve as arbiters in the Quran, Etrat and Prayer competition and familiarizing them with the new regulations for judging the contest in different stages.

Teachers and Education Ministry staff who have previously served as arbiters in Quran competitions or are interested in the field can sign up for the course, he stated.

The Ministry of Education annually organizes the Quran, Etrat and Prayer competition for school students in different categories, such as Quran memorization, recitation, Adhan, prayer, and Nahj al-Balaqa.
