Marking Fatimiyya, the martyrdom anniversary of Hazrat Zahra (SA), it was attended by the devotees of Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS).

The ceremony included Sineh Zani (chest-beating) rituals and elegy recitation.

In Shia Islamic tradition, while a specific number of days in regards to mourning is not established, periods such as the “first 10-days” (from the 10th to the 20th of Jumada aI-Ula) or the “second 10-days” (from the 1st to the 10th of Jumada al-Thani) of the Fatimiyya have in recent years been commemorated much like the “first 10-days of Muharram”.

Apart from Iran and Iraq, Fatimiyya is held in other countries, too, such as India, Pakistan, Australia, Azerbaijan, and Tajikistan. There are also such related centers in Europe, such as Germany (the Islamic center of Hamburg), England (Islamic Center of England), Sweden and so on, that hold ceremonies on the sad occasion.
