Int'l Cultural Event Kicks Off in Karbala (+Photos)
TEHRAN (IQNA) – A cultural-artistic event titled "Um al-Muqawama" (Mother of Resistance) has started in Karbala with the participation of top Iranian artists.
The event kicked off today with the participation of 30 Iranian artists in the shrine of Imam Hussain (AS).
The event is comprised of six categories including calligraphy, calligraphy painting, painting, and miniature.
It will run for four days as the last two days will be held in Najaf.
Artists will produce works during the event that will be later bestowed the custodianship of Imam Hussain (AS) and Imam Ali (AS) shrines during the martyrdom anniversary of Hazrat Zahra (SA), the daughter of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
