Speaking in a meeting with Zia Ullah Shah Bukhari, the head of Jamiat Ahle Hadith Pakistan, Hojat-ol-Islam Hamid Shahriari highlighted the challenges and threats posed by Takfiri ideologies.

He said when someone or a group Takfirs (declares a fellow Muslim or Muslims as being non-Muslim), it creates many problems for the Muslim Ummah resolving which takes a lot of time.

Shahriari underscored the need for unity among Muslims, especially among the Islamic world’s scholars and said the scholars ought to come to a common understanding to counter the Takfiri ideology.

He also referred to Hadiths from the Holy Prophet of Islam (PBUH) about fraternity and underlined the necessity for respecting all Islamic schools of thought.

The cleric also highlight the importance that the Islamic Republic of Iran’s leaders attach to unity in the Muslim world.

Hojat-ol-Islam Shahriari, who is accompanied by Malawi Nazir Ahmad Salami, member of Iran’s Assembly of Experts, has traveled to Pakistan to meet with the Islamic country’s scholars and political and religious figures.
