Libya’s National Quran Memorization Contest Wraps Up

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The closing ceremony of a national competition of the Holy Quran memorization wrapped up on Monday afternoon.

 

The ceremony was held in the Libyan capital of Tripoli in the presence of the country’s interim Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh and a host of ministers, parliamentarians, and scholars, according to EanLibya.com.

Dbeibeh praised the role of Libya's General Authority of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs in organizing the event, stressing the need to further support such Quranic programs that build the future generation.

This was the 29th edition of the Quran memorization contest for men and the 14th edition for women.

Winners of the contest were awarded in the ceremony.
