Iran Int’l Quran Contest Finals to Be Held Online

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The final round of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s 38th International Quran Competition will be organized remotely like the preliminary round.

Slated for February 28 to March 5, it will be organized via video-links with the members of the panel of arbiters evaluating the performances of the participants from Eram Hotel in Tehran.

The 5^th international Quran contest for the visually-impaired and the 7^th international Quran competition for school students, and the international Quran contest for women will be held on the same dates, also virtually.

The decision has been made due to the coronavirus pandemic and rising number of infections with the Omicron variant of COVID-19.

Winners will be announced on Eid al-Mab’ath (day of selection of Prophet Muhammad by God for the guidance).

Iran’s Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization annually organizes the international Quranic event with the participation of Quran activists from various countries.
