52 Iranian Seminary Students Fluent in Chinese: Official

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Head of a language center affiliated with Al-Mustafa International University says there are now 52 Iranian seminary students who have a good command of the Chinese language.

 

Hojat-ol-Islam Seyyed Hossein Sajed, Head of the Institute of Language and Culture Studies, made the remarks in a Sunday meeting with Hojat-ol-Islam Askar Dirbaz, president of the University of Qom.

Sajed hoped that the number of individuals fluent in Chinese would rise significantly in the coming four years.

He said that the Institute of Language and Culture Studies is one of the three main knowledge centers of Al-Mustafa University, adding that the need for such a center was felt in Qom Seminary School.

The institute uses the scientific potential of 170 professors in 15 languages, he said, hoping that with the implementation of the so-called “language village” that the center has aimed.

He also expressed the center’s readiness to enhance cooperation with the University of Qom in various academic fields.

Al-Mustafa International University is a religious and Islamic university established to expand and introduce Islamic and religious teachings in the world through modern facilities and technologies.

It is a scholarly and educational institution that like other such institutions strives to develop thought and help society and humanity. It is known internationally and has trained many prominent scholars and researchers.
