Winners of Imam Ali (AS) Dar-ol-Quran Center’s Quran Contest Awarded

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Winners of different categories in the 15th edition of a Quran competition organized by the Imam Ali (AS) Dar-ol-Quran Center were awarded at the closing ceremony.

 

Iranian Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Mohammad Mehdi Esmaeili was the chief guest of the closing ceremony, held here in Tehran on Tuesday, on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Imam Ali (AS).

A limited number of Quran experts and activists attended the event due to the coronavirus restrictions.

It began with Quran recitation by Jafar Fardi and then Mohammad Ansari, the founder and director of the Imam Ali (AS) Dar-ol-Quran Center delivered a speech.

He said the competition has been aimed at promotion of the Quranic culture in society.

Ansari also called on all the participants who have learned the Quran to teach it to others.

The ceremony also included other speeches and Tawasheeh (religious singing) performances on the auspicious occasion.

At the end of the program, winners of the competition in both men and women sections in all categories, including memorization (four levels), recitation, Tarteel, and Quranic concepts, were announced and awarded.

The Imam Ali (AS) Dar-ol-Quran Center organizes the competition across Iran annually.
