Int’l Congress to 2nd Phase of Revolution Postponed

TEHRAN (IQNA) – An international which was slated to investigate the Second Phase of the Revolution from the view of the Quran and Hadith has been postponed.

 

Hojat-ol-Islam Mohammad Ali Rezaei, scientific secretary of the congress broke the news, citing the COVID-19 pandemic in Iran as the main reason.

The congress was slated to be held on Feb. 17 but was later postponed to March 3 due to the pandemic conditions.

No exact date for the event has been announced yet.

The "Second Phase of the Revolution" or "Second Step of the Revolution" is a statement that was issued by Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei to the country, particularly to the youth, and was published in February 2019, on the occasion of the fortieth anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution.

Earlier, the research deputy of the secretary of the congress Hojat-ol-Islam Seyed Yousef Mousavi said that the congress will be jointly organized by Iran and Pakistan.

He told IQNA that 40 academic and seminary centers from ten countries are contributing to the organization of the scholarly event.

The cleric noted that six specialized committees have been launched for detailed planning for the congress.

‘Lifestyle’, ‘Islamic Revolution, the West and the East in View of the Quran’, ‘Quranic and Islamic Sciences’, ‘Quranic and Hadith-based Futurology’, ‘International’, and ‘Women’ are the six committees of the event, he said.

According to Hojat-ol-Islam Mousavi, more than 1,600 abstract papers have been submitted to the secretariat of the congress.

He said top papers will be published in 22 volumes as well as in four scholarly journals.
