TEHRAN (IQNA) – Kuwaiti authorities stress printing and importing copies of the Noble Quran needs obtaining permission from the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs.

Kuwait’s Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Essa Ahmad Mohammed Al-Kanderi has announced a set of regulations for printing and importing copies of the Quran, according to Alraimedia.com.

Accordingly, it is forbidden to print and import copies of the Holy Book in the country unless receiving a permit from the department of monitoring the printing and dissemination of the Noble Qur’an and the Sunnah.

Applicants are required to submit a set of documents for obtaining the permit, including an electronic copy of the Quran and five sets of copies of the pages printed on A3 paper.

It also noted that the initial approval does not mean an ultimate permit as the latter will be issued after the completion of the printing and monitoring process.
