The center, affiliated to the Astan (custodianship) of Imam Hussein (AS) holy shrine, has launched the programs in Iran, Syria, Indonesia, Australia, Lebanon, Mali, Burkina Faso, Kuwait, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Britain, Canada and Uganda.

This is according to the head of the center Muntazar al-Mansouri, who added that the programs are held daily during the holy month.

He said the center is also holding Quran competitions and other Quranic programs in these countries.

Ramadan is the ninth month in the Islamic calendar. It is a period of prayer, fasting, charity giving and self–accountability for Muslims around the world.

During Ramadan, Muslims fast (abstain from foods and drinks) from sunrise to sunset.

They also devote a considerable amount of time during this month to reading and contemplating the Quran.
