TEHRAN (IQNA) – An official with the Iranian Ministry of Culture says the expectations about the 29th Tehran International Quran Exhibition were satisfied with the help of people and organizations.

Speaking to IQNA, Ali Reza Moaf, the Quran and Etrat deputy of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance and the head of the exhibition, said that organizers only had 40 days to prepare the event this year compared to the six-month period of time in previous editions.

Highlighting the great number of visitors at this year’s edition, he said this embrace should be analyzed as a cultural phenomenon.

According to extracted data, more than 1.2 million people visited the two-week exhibition, he said.

The main point of this year’s edition was the enthusiastic presence of families, teenagers, and children, he said, adding that the strategy of the event was to turn the event into a one for all people as the Holy Quran is for all people.

The 29th Tehran International Quran Exhibition was inaugurated on April 16 at Imam Khomeini (RA) Mosalla and wrapped up on April 29.

The expo is annually organized by the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance in the holy month of Ramadan.

It is aimed at promoting Quranic concepts and developing Quranic activities.

The exhibition showcases the latest Quranic achievements in the country as well as a variety of products dedicated to the promotion of the Holy Book.
