TEHRAN (IQNA) – Tens of Zionist Settlers stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque in the occupied East Jerusalem al-Quds this morning to mark the foundation of the Zionist regime.

Tens of settlers raided the Muslims’ holy site under the protection of Israeli security forces, local sources told Felesteen.news.

Meanwhile, the occupation forces have adopted strict measures around the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound, preventing the entry of tens of Palestinian youths into the area.

Fatah Movement called on the Palestinian people to be ready and come to al-Aqsa and defend the holy site against the Zionists’ aggression.

Earlier on Wednesday, extremist settler groups recently incited their followers to storm the Mosque in large numbers on May 5, to mark the foundation of their Zionist entity on the land of historic Palestine in the aftermath of the 1948 Nakba (catastrophe).

Postings published by these groups on social media pages called for waving Israeli flags and singing the Israeli anthem in the Aqsa Mosque’s courtyards tomorrow, according to the Palestinian Information Center.

The Hamas Movement warned the Israeli occupation authority of allowing Jewish settlers to desecrate the Aqsa Mosque on Thursday, holding it fully responsible for the consequences of any new violation at the Islamic holy site.

“Allowing settler groups to storm the Mosque’s courtyards is like ‘playing with fire and will drag the region into a conflict for which the occupation state will be fully responsible,” Hamas said in a statement on Wednesday.

The Movement has urged the Palestinian masses to march en masse to Jerusalem and the Aqsa Mosque “to defend their identity, religion, and the first Qibla of Islam, and to let the occupation state know that its malicious attempts to divide the Mosque temporally and spatially would not go unnoticed.”
