TEHRAN (IQNA) – The two Arabic words “adl” and “qest” are closely related and are sometimes used as synonyms, however, they also have some differences.

Both of these words are related to the concept of justice and have been used in the Holy Quran.

The word “adl” is the opposite of oppression and means putting something in its right place or doing things in a proper manner.

“Adl” is sometimes used as an antonym of oppression while “qest” sometimes stands against the concept of discrimination.

Sometimes, “qest” is used to refer to a just distribution, however, “adl” may refer to any action that can be described as just.

The word “adl” is sometimes used for government and judgment while “qest” refers to the distribution of rights.
