Lebanese Muslim Scholars Congratulate Iran on Anniversary of Islamic Revolution
In a message on Saturday, the assembly expressed congratulations to Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei and other officials on the occasion.
The scholars prayed to God to keep on the light that has been turned on by the revolution and shows the path of glory and dignity for the Muslim world.
They said that thanks to the judicious and wise leadership of Ayatollah Khamenei and the presence of the Iranian Muslim nation on the scenes, the US pressures against Iran and its economic siege on the country will only strengthen commitment to the principles and foundations of the revolution.
They underlined that the enemy plots hatched to isolate the Islamic Republic of Iran in the region and their schemes to provoke religious, sectarian, and ethnic conflicts will end in failure as Iran has always supported the world’s oppressed.
The scholars went on to say that the move by some Arab world leaders to normalize ties with the Zionist regime of Israel could not undermine the axis of resistance.
Every year, millions of Iranians across the country observe ten days of celebrations marking the anniversary of the victory of the 1979 Islamic Revolution that put an end to the monarchy of the US-backed Pahlavi regime in the country.
The day of Imam Khomeini’s return to Iran (February 1 this year) marks the beginning of the Ten Day Fajr (Ten Days of Dawn), which culminates with rallies on the anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution on February 11.
The Iranian nation toppled the US-backed Pahlavi regime 44 years ago, ending the 2,500 years of monarchic rule in the country.
The Islamic Revolution spearheaded by the late Imam Khomeini established a new political system based on Islamic values and democracy.
