TEHRAN (IQNA) – The head of the Intifada and Quds Headquarters at Iran’s Islamic Ideology Dissemination Organization highlighted the recent developments in occupied Palestine, saying they demonstrate the collapse and failure of arrogant powers’ equations and calculations in the region.

Ramazan Sharif

Addressing a meeting here in Tehran on Monday, held for coordination about holding the International Quds Day events, Ramazan Sharif said the pace of developments in occupied territories and the self-confidence seen in resistance forces in confrontation with the Zionists are a reminder of the sensitivity of decisiveness of the events, especially in the West Bank.

He referred to the advice by Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei to rulers of some of Arab and Muslim countries to make up for the grave sin of normalization of ties with the Zionist regime and stressed that the issue of Palestine has now turned from an Arab issue into a global and international one.

Today the eyes of the whole world have been opened to the crimes committed by the savage Israeli regime, he stated.

Sharif underscored that the Zionist regime is the definite loser in the battlefields of conflict with the Intifada and Palestinian resistance.

According to Sharif, the developments in 2022 and in the first three months of 2023 suggest dangerous outcomes for the Zionists, adding that the activation of Jenin and other parts of the West Bank and the new combat model of the Palestinian youths has the message that there is no more security for the regime in central parts of the occupied lands.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Sharif highlighted the importance of the International Quds Day rallies in showcasing the Muslim worlds support for Al-Quds and the cause of Palestine.

The International Quds Day is a legacy of the late founder of the Islamic Republic, Imam Khomeini, who designated the day in solidarity with Palestinians.

Since the 1979 Islamic Revolution in Iran, the International Quds Day has been held worldwide on the last Friday of the Muslim fasting month of Ramadan.

This year, the International Quds Day is likely to fall on Friday, April 14.
