Honoring Women Part of Holy Prophet’s Seerah
The last messenger of God made all-out efforts to have people treat women with respect and dignity.
He would give women who had done wrong the opportunity to rectify their path and used all opportunities and possibilities to help women change their situation.
The basis of how the Prophet (PBUH) treated women was kindness and respect.
It is narrated that a cloth made of silk was gifted to the Prophet (PBUH) and he gifted it to a girl named Umm Khaled who had embraced Islam when Muslims moved to Abyssinia, and he honored her this way.
The Holy Prophet (PBUH) treated not just Hazrat Zahra (SA) but all women with respect and dignity.
He was not indifferent to the issue of lax Hijab but there has been no report of the Holy Prophet’s (PBUH) treating of women with disrespect over their lax Hijab or for any other reason.
In some cases when he saw a woman with lax Hijab, he would only pray to God to have mercy on the women of the Ummah who observe modestly.
