In a post on his X account on Wednesday, Muhammad Abdul Salam said backing Gaza in Ramadan is more important than fasting and praying.
He called on the Islamic Ummah to make the holy month a time for mobilizing support and aide for the Gaza Strip.
For more than 150 days, the people of Gaza have withstood what mountains could not withstand, he said.
Abdul Salam added that Muslim nations and governments should recognize their responsibility toward Gaza and do everything they can to bring an end to the enemy’s barbaric attacks on the Palestinian enclave.
Yemen reiterates its decisive stance in backing Gaza and welcomes Palestinian resistance movements’ calls for intensified support for the people of Gaza in Ramadan, he stated.
The spokesman also said every Palestinian drop of blood shed in Gaza is a disgrace for the United States that supports the criminal Israeli regime.

The steadfastness of the people of Gaza over the past months has proven that they will be victorious with the grace of God, he went on to say.
Israel has waged a deadly military offensive on the Gaza Strip since Oct. 7, killing more than 30,700 Palestinians and injuring over 72,000 others amid mass destruction and shortages of necessities.
Israel has also imposed a crippling blockade on the Gaza Strip, leaving its population, particularly residents of northern Gaza, on the verge of starvation.
The Israeli war has pushed 85% of Gaza’s population into internal displacement amid acute shortages of food, clean water, and medicine, while 60% of the enclave's infrastructure has been damaged or destroyed, according to the UN.
Israel stands accused of genocide at the International Court of Justice. An interim ruling in January ordered Tel Aviv to stop genocidal acts and take measures to guarantee that humanitarian assistance is provided to civilians in Gaza.

In recent months, Yemeni forces have been staging strikes against Israeli vessels or those bound for the occupied Palestinian territories’ ports.
The operations have been described as a response to Israel’s genocidal war and siege on Gaza.
