IQNA – The Great Mosque of Paris, a landmark of cultural and religious significance in France, will be part of the 2024 Olympic celebrations as it welcomes the Olympic flame on July 14 at 3 p.m.

The mosque will close from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. to accommodate this special event and hence it will not be able to organize the Dhuhr prayer.

The Olympic flame, emblematic of peace, unity, and friendship, marks the commencement of the festive spirit of the Games. It unites spectators and participants alike, with 10,000 torchbearers sharing the honor of carrying it through France since May 8.

The flame will have a journey across the city on July 14 and 15, leading up to the grand opening ceremony on July 26, where the Olympic cauldron will be lit, signifying the start of the Games.
