Daesh Claims Bomb Blast in Afghan Capital
The explosion went off in Dasht Barchi District of Kabul on Sunday, killing one person and wounding 11 others.
According to Khaled Zadran, a spokesman for the Kabul Security Command, an improvised explosive device (IED) planted on a motorcycle exploded in the Dasht Barchi area.
He said security forces were immediately sent to the area and began an investigation.
Daesh later issued a statement, claiming responsibility for the terrorist incident, Ava news agency reported.
Nearly a month ago, Daesh had also claimed responsibility for another bomb blast in the Afghan capital city.

The number of deadly bomb blasts and suicide attacks in Afghanistan has declined significantly since the Taliban ended their insurgency after seizing power in August 2021. However, a number of armed groups, including Daesh, still remain a threat.
