IQNA – A political analyst and member of the United States’ Democratic Party said Washington and the Tel Aviv regime seek the elimination of verses of the Quran from school books in the Middle East.

Mahdi Afifi

Mahdi Afifi said in an interview with the Baghdad Today website that they want to see the removal of Quranic verses from school textbooks and a change in educational methods in Middle Eastern countries in order to gain dominance over the region.

He said there is a military, ideological and media plan that aims to eliminate resistance.

He also referred to the continuation of the Israeli regime’s crimes against humanity in Palestine and Lebanon, saying the atrocities are being committed with US support.

Washington and Tel Aviv want the war in the region to continue as they believe it would undermine Iran, Yemen, Iraq and other members of the axis of resistance, he stated.

Afifi also said that both parties in the US Congress support the Zionist regime.
