IQNA – More than 19 million worshippers have visited the Quba Mosque in the holy city of Media, Saudi Arabia, so far this year.

From January to October 2024, over 19 million people said prayers at the mosque, according to Saudi officials.  

The Quba Mosque was the first mosque built by Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, when he left Mecca for Medina.

It has been rebuilt and developed many times in its history.

Its courtyards are more than 14,000 square meters in area, 8,000 square meters of which have been carpeted.

There is an expansion project, the largest ever, underway at the place of worship.
