The members of the panel of arbiters will gather at the Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization’s headquarters in Tehran for the evaluations in two sections for men and women.

They will watch the pre-recorded performances of those who have made it to the national stage and score them.

Top-scorers will qualify for the last stage of the contest, slated for December in the northwestern city of Tabriz.

The Islamic Republic of Iran’s National Quran Competition is annually held by the Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization with the participation of top Quran activists from across the country.

It is aimed at discovering Quranic talents and promoting Quranic activities in society.

The top winners of the competition will represent Iran in the international Quran competitions across the world.

This year’s competition is held in commemoration of the “Martyrs of Service”, namely former President Ebrahim Raisi and his companions who were killed in a helicopter crash in May.
