Organized by the Holy Quran Custody Society (HQCS) and overseen by Bahrain’s Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs, and Endowments’ Quran Affairs Directorate, this new category has drawn participation from 23 contestants, both citizens and residents, Bahrain News Agency reported.
Shaikh Ishaq Rashid Al Kooheji, Chairman of the HQCS, explained that the addition of the Quran Interpretation category this year aims to broaden engagement with the Quranic sciences across Bahrain.
This division encourages contestants to deepen their understanding of Quranic meanings, fostering a stronger connection with the text.
The women’s Quran Interpretation round is scheduled for Saturday, November 16, with 27 participants.
