Jusuf Kalla, the chairman of DMI, pointed the importance of rebuilding spiritual spaces for those impacted by the Israeli genocidal war. “Spiritual life is an important part that must be restored, especially for people who are facing difficult times like this,” Kalla stated during a meeting with DMI officials on Saturday.

The statement also noted the extensive destruction caused by the 15-month war, which severely damaged key infrastructure in Gaza, including homes, schools, hospitals, water and electricity networks, and places of worship, such as mosques and churches.
