IQNA – The closing ceremony of the 31st edition of the Quran competition for Iran’s Basij forces was held in Tehran on Thursday.

The closing ceremony of the 31st edition of the Quran competition for Iran’s Basij forces was held in Tehran on February 6, 2025.

The ceremony began with recitation of the Quran by Ebrahim Fallah Tabassomchehreh and then Hojat-ol-Islam Hamid Limouei, the director of the Dar-ol-Quran Center of Basij, gave a report on the organization of this edition.

He said more than 1.2 million individuals registered for the contest, which was held in the preliminary, semifinal and final rounds.

Commander of the Basij Force General Gholamreza Soleimani also addressed the event.

He said the path of the Quran is the path of humanity's salvation from the clutches of crises.

Western civilization is in a spiritual crisis, and to get out of this crisis, it has tried to guide humanity towards its material and satanic desires and the tyrants who rule this civilization, he stated.

Emphasizing that the path towards error, destruction, corruption and satanism is the path that Western civilization has imposed on humanity in the past 300 years, he added that, nevertheless, the Quranic culture was expanding day by day and the Islamic Revolution of Iran created a great Quranic transformation.

He also stressed the Quranic nature of the resistance in Palestine and Lebanon and noted that many resistance martyrs were outstanding Quran reciters and memorizers.

At the end of the ceremony, winners of different categories in the men and women sections of the competition were named and awarded.
