Established in 2017, the center's initiatives extend beyond the Imam Reza (AS) Shrine, catering to different educational levels, from early childhood to advanced courses, according to Atabe News.
One of its key projects, Mahd al-Reza, was introduced to promote Quranic teachings among children. Initially launched with two trial classes, the program expanded through instructor training courses. By 2017, it had grown to 31 provinces, establishing the largest pre-school Quran education network in the Islamic world.

Since its inception, the program has trained 300,000 five-year-old children in Quran recitation using storytelling and play-based methods.
In 2024 alone, 25,000 students participated, including 12,000 in Mashhad.
The 2024-2025 academic year marks the program’s 26th year, operating in 239 cities and villages with nearly 1,000 instructors conducting 1,402 classes.

On the international stage, Mahd al-Reza has gained traction. In 2023, classes were held in Afghanistan, Germany, and Canada.
By 2024, the initiative expanded to Iraq, Bahrain, and Saudi Arabia, benefiting over 1,000 students.
Additionally, 170 instructors from 15 countries have been trained to further develop the program globally.
