In a statement on Sunday, Hamas said, “On the day when we bid farewell to the two martyred leaders Sayed Hassan Nasrallah and Sayed Hashem Safieddine, we pay respect to their pure souls and remember their firm stances in support of Palestine and their martyrdom on the path of al-Quds.”

Hamas once again offered condolences on the martyrdom of the two leaders to the Lebanese people and the Arab and Muslim Ummah.

The statement praised the two Hezbollah figures’ commitment to supporting the issue of Palestine and their insistence on formation of a front to support the people of the Gaza Strip in the face of the Israeli regime’s brutal aggression and genocidal war.

Hamas noted that the two longed for martyrdom until the last moment of their life and finally achieved it on the path of defending the Muslim Ummah and liberation of al-Quds.

The statement underscored that the crimes of the Zionist regime and the assassination of resistance leaders in Palestine and Lebanon will never end the path of resistance but only strengthen the resolve of resistance fighters to continue this path until the occupiers are uprooted from the region and the occupied lands are freed.
