Iraqi Religious Scholars Launch Quranic Outreach Program Across 11 Provinces

IQNA – The Quranic Center of Najaf, affiliated with the shrine of Hazrat Abbas (AS), has deployed 70 scholars from the Najaf seminary to 11 provinces across Iraq for a series of religious and educational programs during the holy month of Ramadan.

“This Quranic outreach initiative is part of our Ramadan activities,” said Sayyed Mohannad Al-Miyali, director of the Najaf Quranic Center. “Seventy scholars from the Najaf seminary have been sent to various provinces to conduct Quranic and religious programs.”

The initiative covers Basra, Maysan, Diwaniyah, Dhi Qar, Wasit, Muthanna, Baghdad, Kirkuk, Salah al-Din, Diyala, and Nineveh.

It began on the first night of Ramadan and will continue until the 21st of the holy month.

According to Al-Miyali, the program includes 21 scholarly and religious sessions in more than 90 cities, towns, and villages.

“The goal is to enhance religious and cultural awareness among different segments of society,” he explained.

The outreach efforts feature a variety of Ramadan activities, including Quran recitations, discussion-based gatherings, educational courses, congregational prayers, and Quran competitions.
