Iranian Cultural Center in Bangkok to Organize Quran Contest

IQNA – The Mehr Quran Institute, affiliated with the Iranian Cultural Center in Bangkok, announced the organization of a competition on Quran recitation and Adhan (call to prayer).

The contest will be held for male participants under 20 years old from across Thailand.

The Salehin Dar-ol-Quran Center will cooperate in organizing the Quranic event.

It will take place on Saturday, May 1, at the Iranian Cultural Center in Bangkok.

Those willing to take part in the Quran competition are required to submit their information and a recorded audio file of their recitation via the website of the Salehin Dar-ol-Quran Center.

Attendance in the competition is open to the public, and winners will be honored with commemorative plaques and valuable prizes.

Thailand is a country at the center of the Indochinese peninsula in Southeast Asia.

Muslims are the second largest religious group in Thailand making up about five percent of the country’s 70 million population.
