Held during the holy month of Ramadan, the competition was conducted virtually and attracted the participation of 150 qaris from various countries. According to the organizers, the event unfolded over three rounds.
The call for entries was issued prior to Ramadan and qaris were asked to submit video recordings of their performances based on specific assigned verses.
In the initial phase, over 150 qaris submitted entries. From this group, 36 were selected to proceed to the preliminary round.

Judges then evaluated the video submissions, narrowing the field to 13 semi-finalists. Each semi-finalist provided a new video recitation of designated verses, and six were ultimately chosen for the final round.
The finalists included Majid Ananpour from Iran, Bilal Hamwi from Turkey, Ezzat Al-Sayyid Rashid from Egypt, Sediq Yaseen Hosseini from Afghanistan, Ahmed Razzaq Al-Dalfi from Iraq, and Wudan Hermoko from Indonesia.
Majid Ananpour of the Islamic Republic of Iran was awarded the top honor in the competition.
