Initiative in Mauritania Aims to Consolidate Quranic Values among Youth

IQNA – An initiative has been launched in Mauritania that seeks to promote Quranic values among the younger generation.  

A ceremony was held in Mauritania’s capital on May 11, 2025, to launch an initiative that seeks to promote Quranic values among the younger generation.

 

The country’s Ministry of Islamic Affairs and Original Education launched on Sunday in Nouakchott the initiative that aims to contribute to the service and glorification of the Book of God through a project that seeks to enhance its status in the minds of the rising generations.

The project is aimed at immunizing youth with the Holy Quran and consolidating its noble values that call for fraternity and solidarity, away from conflict and backwardness.

During the launch ceremony, the Director of Islamic Guidance, Mohamed Lamine Ould Cheikhna, expressed his appreciation for this work, which comes within the framework of serving the Holy Quran, and thanked the President of the Republic Mohamed Ould Cheikh Ghazouani for his directives, which reflect the government’s growing interest in Mauritanians and the Islamic sciences in general.

The project was launched in the presence of a number of imams and readers, in addition to a group of prominent figures in the field of religious and educational affairs.
