The program, named Iqra, is part of the efforts of the mosque’s management in order to strengthen the attention to the Quran and the dissemination of Quranic sciences, recitation, and Tajweed, Pressbee reported.

It is carried out in line with the Quranic mission of this mosque and serving the pilgrims.

Strengthening the presence of the Quran in the lives of Muslims and institutionalizing the global mission of the Prophet’s Mosque in the Islamic world is one of the objectives of the program.

This program, as a religious and intellectual initiative, enriches the Quranic knowledge of visitors to the Prophet’s Mosque and its implementation during the Hajj season provides an opportunity to convey the message of moderation and balance to the farthest corners of the world, according to the management of the mosque.

The Iqra program also aims to create opportunities for granting Quran recitation licenses from the Quranic scholars of the Prophet’s Mosque to reciters, as well as preparing male and female reciters to perform Quran recitations in various regions around the world.
