IQNA – The Council of Muslim Organizations of Thailand underlined its unwavering stance in support of the oppressed Palestinian people and the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Iran stood firm and defended itself powerfully in the face of Israeli and US aggression

The council “Calls upon all Muslim nations and freedom-loving peoples worldwide to support Palestine, the West Bank, and Iran—materially and morally—in a united global uprising against genocide and occupation,” it said in a statement earlier this week.

Here is the statement by the Council of Muslim Organizations of Thailand:

In light of its pivotal role in empowering the Islamic Ummah and advancing its scholarly, cultural, and religious mission—aligned with the policies and strategies of its member organizations—the Council of Muslim Organizations of Thailand recognizes the immense responsibilities it bears amid the current challenges facing the Muslim world. These circumstances demand decisive and effective action.

Given recent developments, including Operation Al-Aqsa Storm, the genocidal campaign in Gaza by the Zionist regime with US support, the airstrikes against the Islamic Republic of Iran, and nuclear threats, the Council condemns these actions as grave threats to the Muslim Ummah.

Guided by Islamic principles and its civilizational mission, the Council calls upon religious scholars to uphold their sacred duty as inheritors of the Prophets, serving their faith, people, and nations with sincerity. Islam, at its core, stands firmly against oppression, discrimination, and injustice—and today, more than ever, requires the leadership of enlightened scholars.

The Council reiterates its unwavering stance in support of the oppressed Palestinian people and the Islamic Republic of Iran. The crimes of the Zionist regime and the US—including the mass slaughter of children, women, and civilians; the destruction of mosques, hospitals, and infrastructure; the restriction of access to Al-Aqsa Mosque; the desecration of its sanctity; the ongoing occupation; and illegal settlement expansion in the West Bank—constitute blatant violations of human, religious, and international values, resulting in over 200,000 casualties, wounded, or missing.

The Council’s Declared Positions:

Global Mobilization Against Genocide & Occupation: Calls upon all Muslim nations and freedom-loving peoples worldwide to support Palestine, the West Bank, and Iran—materially and morally—in a united global uprising against genocide and occupation.

Support for International Initiatives: Endorses movements like the humanitarian convoy to Palestine and urges governments, especially Muslim-majority states, to facilitate such missions and secure the release of detainees.

Pressure on Human Rights Bodies: Demands NGOs, civil society, and activists leverage legal and international mechanisms to intensify pressure on global institutions to halt the bloodshed, restore Palestinian and Iranian rights, and end occupation and violence.

Action by Islamic & International Bodies: Urges the Arab League, OIC (Organization of Islamic Cooperation), and justice-oriented international entities to play an active role in stopping the crimes of the Zionist regime and its allies.

Condemnation of US-Zionist Aggression: Strongly condemns the direct, systematic attacks on Iran, which flout international law and human principles. Calls on UN member states to take firm action against these illegal and inhumane acts.

Unity Against Division: Appeals to the global Muslim Ummah to reject sectarianism, racism, and ethnic divisions, emphasizing Islamic unity and closer collaboration among scholarly, cultural, and institutional bodies to achieve Islam’s lofty goals.

All praise and gratitude belong to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds, and blessings upon the Noble Prophet (PBUH) and all those who sacrifice their lives and wealth in His path.

We pray for you, O people of Palestine.
