In a statement released Sunday by Hezbollah’s media relations department, the movement emphasized that it has no presence or activity in Syria and has no connection to any events or conflicts in the neighboring country, Al-Mayadeen reported.
Hezbollah also emphasized its commitment to the security, stability, and safety of the Syrian people.
Earlier in the day, Syria’s interior minister said a suspect named Mahmoud Fadel who had allegedly been plotting terrorist attacks in Homs had been arrested.
It said multiple ready-to-use improvised explosive devices that he intended to use were also confiscated.

The ministry said Fadel planned to carry out a terrorist operation by detonating the explosives in the region.
It also claimed that the suspect was linked to what it called a “Hezbollah cell”.
