Participants in Amir al-Qurra Quranic Plan Learning Iraqi, Egyptian Recitation Styles

IQNA – The third phase of the ninth Amir al-Qurra national Quranic plan is underway in Iraq, with lessons being offered on Quran recitation in the Iraqi and Egyptian styles.

Sayed Laith Al-Ubeidi, one of the instructors of the plan, said that 110 Quran students in 10 educational groups are taking part in this phase, where they are taught Quran recitation in the Iraqi and Egyptian styles.

He added that this stage concentrates on strengthening good pronunciation in recitation and classifying sounds, and with a focus on leading reciters, intensively implements exercises related to voice and good pronunciation for them.

At this stage, participants will receive the necessary training in an appropriate manner so that they can actively participate in Quranic circles and international and domestic Quran competitions, he noted.

The Amir al-Qurra (king of Quran reciters) Quranic plan is annually organized by the Holy Quran Scientific Assembly affiliated to the Astan (custodianship) of Hazrat Abbas (AS) holy shrine.

Identifying Iraqi Quranic talents and training them in the field of Quran recitation are among the objectives of the initiative.

The Holy Quran Scientific Assembly has prepared a comprehensive educational program for the participants in the third phase. This program starts early in the morning and continues until the evening. It is implemented according to an advanced system and helps students progress at different levels.

In addition to holding recreational trips, Quranic circles and training sessions regarding the correct recitation of the Holy Quran, the plan includes cultural and religious competitions and workshops.
